Council Member Peter Chan will be installed as Mayor of Monterey Park in a ceremony to take place Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 6:30 pm at city hall.<\/span><\/p>\n

The installation ceremony will also feature remarks by outgoing Mayor Hans Liang and the installation of Council Member Mitchell Ing as Mayor Pro Tem.<\/span>\u00a0This will be Council Member Chan’s first term as mayor, which rotates among city council members every nine and a half months.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event is open to the public and attendees are invited to stay for refreshments.<\/span>\u00a0The installation will be carried live on MPK-TV government access cable TV and via the Internet.<\/span>\u00a0Monterey Park City Hall is located at 320 W.
